Morales, Leticia

Hello My Name Is...

Leticia Morales

Welcome to English for Speakers of Other Language
(ESOL I)

Background:  I graduated from Riverside High School in 1987; I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish Literature in 1991.

My Career: After graduating, I worked for Prudential HealthCare in Austin, and El Paso, Texas and Lifeguard HMO in Milpitas, California.  The technical writing paved the way to my desire to teach and prepare students for rigorous writing for college and career readiness.

I became a teacher through UTEP's Alternative Certification Program in 1999 and taught at Del Valle H. S. (ESL), Montwood Middle School (7th/8th), Ysleta High School (ESL, English 1, English III, and AP Lang), Bowie High School (ESL, Pre-AP English II, English II, English III, and AP Lang), Lynn Middle School (ELA 8th and English I), and Vista Middle School (ESL, ELA 8th, Pre-AP 9th, and Spanish Lit).  I am beginning year 19, and still love the adventure of working with our youth!
